Fresh off dropping his celebration of LGBTQ rights with 'Free Love,'Vic Mensa was a guest on The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore. Mensa hopped on last night's panel with Rory Albanese and Robin Thede while host Wilmore posed the questions. The panel discussed the backlash that came to Justin Timberlake after his tweet about Jessie Williams's speech at the 2016 BET Awards. Mensa had a good deal to say on the subject. His problems with Timberlake stemmed from Timberlake benefitting off of black culture and only commenting on it when it's beneficial to him.
'We're not down when he's turning a blind eye from black culture when it's dangerous for him,' Mensa said. Watch the video above and read The FADER's latest interview with Mensa about coming out in support of LGBTQ rights here.
